Solar Panel Cleaning for Gas & C-Stores

Fuel islands and pads collect oil, gum, and spills fast.

The problem

What gas & c-stores deal with

Fuel islands and entry pads collect the worst of it, and every customer walks straight through it. Regular service is what keeps it from setting in permanently.

Fuel island concrete is the hardest-used surface we clean. It takes fuel, oil, and every shoe on the property, and once that soaks deep enough into the slab it stops being a cleaning job. Frequency is what keeps it a cleaning job.

Gum and grime at entrances

Oil-stained fuel islands

Losing the choice to the station across the road

Staining soaking permanently into the pad

How we help

Solar Panel Cleaning built for your property

Panels lose output when they are dirty, and in the Triangle and Johnston County the loss is mostly pollen in spring and dust film through summer. Neither needs aggressive cleaning to remove. Both need the right water, because tap water dries and leaves the mineral spots that cut light the same way the dirt did.

We clean from the ground with fed-pole systems wherever the roof pitch allows it. Nobody needs to walk on your array to wash it, and the fewer footsteps on a roof carrying panels, the better for the mounts and the flashing.

No harsh chemicals

Pure water and soft brushes only, so nothing degrades the coating.

More power output

Clean glass lets the panels produce what they should.

You can see it in the app

Clean after the pollen drops and the production curve makes the case for itself.

No mineral spots

Deionized water dries clear with no hard-water marks.

The result

What changes after we leave

The difference on a gas & c-stores property is partly the first visit and mostly the schedule after it.

  • A site that wins the passing glance
  • Entry pads free of gum and spills
  • Concrete kept ahead of permanent staining
  • Walkways that stay safe when wet

Pricing

What it costs

Panel count sets the base and the mounting sets the rest. A ground-mount row we can walk along is the cheap end. A steep two-story roof array is mostly setup time, and the setup is the same whether it is twelve panels or twenty.

What moves the number
  • Roof pitch and story height
  • Number of panels
  • Bird nesting or debris under the array

Questions

Solar Cleaning for Gas & C-Stores, answered

How often should panels be cleaned?
Once or twice a year suits most Triangle-area arrays, more if you are under heavy pollen or trees.
Can I just hose them off myself?
You can, and the mineral spots that dry on afterwards block light much like the pollen did. Hose water here carries enough dissolved solids to leave a film. Deionized water dries clear, which is the whole reason we use it.
Will you kill my plants?
No. Beds get soaked with plain water before we start and rinsed again after, which dilutes anything that reaches them. If something is fragile, tell us and we cover it.
How much water does this use, and do I pay for it?
We run off your outdoor spigot and a typical house wash uses about as much as a couple of loads of laundry. It shows up on your bill and it is a few dollars.
